    We Love America's Veterans !

    How Can You Participate?

Giving back to our Veterans and honoring them is so much of what we are and do.

(SHAF Founder & Chairman, Dan Fordice, with WWII/POW Veteran Lamar Rodgers, at the SHAF celebration of Lamar's 99th Birthday!)

Becoming a volunteer is a great way to give back and honor America's heroes!

Volunteers sign up to do what they do best, whether it is giving tours, working in the Gift Shop, Answering the phones, cleaning airplanes, cleaning the hangar and Museum, helping with rides, assisting with public relations, helping set up displays, fundraising, helping with events, or all of the above. There is a place for committed volunteers!

We are proud of our volunteer retention and we do have a volunteer reward program!

Reach out to us to volunteer by scrolling down and clicking the Become a Volunteer Button!

    Our History

Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work in this area,in 2004, the late MS. Governor Kirk Fordice and his son Dan, formed our organization, to preserve the stories of local and regional WWII Veterans and to preserve aviation history by keep Vintage and WWII aircraft flying! We've consistently grown since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!

Our supporters and volunteers provide the Education & Momentum that helps us preserve this history for all ages. Through our love of veterans and community, we strive to teach all who walk through our doors a love of their country, a love of those who fought for their freedoms, a love of aviation and stories that will live with them forever.

A nonprofit and it's mission is as strong as the community that holds it up. We have an amazing community!

Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Whether you decide to give us a visit or join our volunteers, or hopefully both; sharing the history that is preserved in our small Aviation Museum and the stories of our local and regional heroes,  together we can preserve history.

Our museum is run by committed volunteers that give tours, help host our events, set up displays, clean aircraft,
